Do you have a passion for plants and a drive to see them thrive? This is avaried and rewarding Horticulturalist role where no two days are the same. This is a hands-on role where youll be involved in every stage of plant care from arrival and maintenance to display and despatch ensuring customers receive healthy, high-quality plants every time.
You will be joining a busy production nursery and cash & carry based in Hertford
As a Horticulturalist your role will include: Caring for plant stock: watering, feeding, pruning, and maintaining health and vitality. Preparing, picking, and packing plants for customer orders with accuracy and pride. Supporting all areas of nursery production, including setting down arrivals and maintaining displays. Monitoring crops for pests, diseases, and irrigation needsacting promptly to keep plants in top condition. Following OH&S, plant health, and nursery protocols to maintain biosecurity and high standards.
Wed love to hear from anyone with the following skills and experience: Horticultural knowledge or a strong enthusiasm to develop it. Someone who has worked as a gardener, botanist, grower, nurseryman, nurserywoman or be a plant enthusiast. Enjoyment of practical, outdoor work in a fast-paced environment. A reliable team player with excellent attention to detail. Willingness to keep learning and building skills. A commitment to plant health, safety, and quality.
