A non-profit social enterprise on a mission to empower more women in STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering and Maths) to be visible role models and inspire future innovators and problem solvers is looking for an Engagement Lead to join the team! This is a part-time role, working 3-days per week. Together, they’ve delivered more than 160,000 hands-on interactive kids experiences, sparking curiosity and confidence in Primary School children across the UK and internationally. What you’ll be doing as Engagement Lead: You’ll be at the heart of bringing their mission to life across the region. Reporting to our CEO, you’ll take the lead on coordinating and delivering initiatives in and around Birmingham – inspiring young people, empowering volunteers, and building strong local partnerships. Your role will include: Engaging directly with Primary Schools (ages 7–11) to spark curiosity and confidence in STEM. Coordinating, organising, and delivering exciting live STEM workshops alongside a brilliant mix of staff and volunteers. Collecting and reporting on impact through pre- and post-engagement surveys, helping show the difference they make. Supporting and managing volunteers so they feel empowered, confident, and part of a collaborative community. Growing the impact in the Midlands by connecting with new partners across STEM organisations, businesses, and institutions – from raising their profile locally to helping shape compelling grant applications. This role is flexible and remote, with weekly online team meetings and coordinated travel as needed. You’ll be part of the delivery team, visiting schools across the Midlands to run in-person sessions during the school day. Some travel, occasional overnight stays, and early starts/finishes may be required – but always planned to work around schools and team schedules. What we’re looking for in an Engagement Lead: We’re looking for someone who shares their passion for inspiring the next generation and empowering role models in STEM. You’ll bring an understanding of the school system in England, knowledge of STEM, and experience working with children or young people in educational or recreational settings. You’ll also have: A positive, can-do attitude and a proactive approach to challenges Brilliant written and verbal communication skills Strong organisation skills and great attention to detail Pride in delivering excellent experiences for schools, partners, and volunteers Enthusiasm for supporting business development to help us grow our reach and impact To join the team as Engagement Lead, you’ll need to provide proof of your right to work in the UK, satisfactory references, and an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
