About Our Client: Our client is a forward-thinking manufacturing business that is doing things the right way not just for today, but for the long-term future of the industry and the communities it serves. They are establishing a brand-new site in Ellesmere Port and are entering an exciting growth phase with significant investment. They have a strong leadership team already in place and are now looking for an experienced generalist HR professional to join them at this pivotal moment.

In this role, you inherit something better than a HR function that someone else built; you will receive a comprehensive, co-designed People, Leadership and Culture Strategy, built specifically for our client's unique operating context and you can own its delivery entirely from day one.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000, permanent, days, no WFH or hybrid option

THE ROLE

  • You inherit a complete strategic brief - not a to-do list - covering career architecture, skills framework and the culture blueprint for how we will grow and scale.
  • You walk in on day one knowing exactly what needs to be done. Your role is to make it real.
  • You are joining a founding leadership team. You will have a seat at the table from day one and a direct line to the senior leadership team - your decisions will shape this company for years.
  • Build and embed a strong people framework that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
  • Drive initiatives that support employee engagement, leadership capability, and organisational culture.
  • Partner with the Plant Director to finalise the proposed workforce reward and progression framework including how specialisation, breadth of skill and demonstrated capability are recognised and rewarded across the operation.
  • Ensure the agreed grade structure is accurately reflected in all job descriptions, offer letters and employment contracts from the outset.
  • Build a culture that makes our client the employer of choice in the region - a place where people talk about their work with pride, recommend it to friends and family, and want to grow long-term.
  • Champion genuine inclusion at every stage of the employment lifecycle.
  • Play a key role in the company's B Corp journey and sustainability agenda.
  • Partner closely with the business to ensure HR strategy is fully aligned with commercial objectives.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded HR professional who wants to make a real difference in a new and growing manufacturing business that is genuinely building for the future. You will have the autonomy to shape the function while working with a supportive leadership team that values people as the heart of the business.

If you are a strong HR generalist, and someone at a senior level, who thrives on both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, we would love to hear from you.

Please be aware this is a site-based role in Ellesmere Port and not a working from home nor a hybrid role. This can't be negotiated.
