You’ll have the autonomy to influence test strategy across the full development lifecycle, working closely with developers, product owners and senior quality specialists.

- Own test strategy and planning within a cross-functional Scrum team, ensuring strong coverage including edge cases.
- Design, maintain and expand automated testing frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit and Test NG.
- Embed automated regression testing into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, continuous software delivery.
- Deliver performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter or Gatling while incorporating security, usability and accessibility considerations.
- Support and mentor colleagues, promoting shared ownership of software quality and effective testing practices.
- Manage defect tracking, test data and testing environments while investigating complex failures to identify root causes. What we’re looking for in a Senior QA Engineer
- Strong background in software testing, QA strategy and test automation.
- Hands-on experience writing automation scripts using Python, Java or Java Script with frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit or Test NG.
- Good knowledge of CI/CD, build automation and integrating automated testing into active development pipelines.
- Experience coaching colleagues, investigating complex technical failures and influencing quality-focused engineering practices.
- Knowledge of performance testing, security testing or WCAG accessibility standards would be advantageous.
Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the Birmingham office and 3 days working from home.
