Due to an increase in business and success, our School and Government Cleaning division is now recruiting for cleaning staff to join their busy team. With over 300 staff working in the East London Boroughs, we are expanding our portfolio where we have won new contracts in the Waltham Forest area.
All workers are required to have an enhanced DBS (or be willing to undertake one) covering the Children and Adults barred listing. DBS certificates on the update service will be accepted.
All applicants will require experience in cleaning and must be able to follow instructions from the caretaker or cleaner in charge on site. Hours typically range from 2–3-hour shifts 06:00-09:00 and/or 15:00-18:00. Candidates can work both shifts if willing and available.
Although you will be working as part of a team, there will also be times when you will be allocated areas in the building to clean on your own, including offices, classrooms, halls, corridors, kitchens, communal areas, and toilets, ensuring all areas are left hygienic and cleaned to a high standard.
Duties include:
- Sweeping all tiled and wooden floors and stairs
- Vacuuming all carpeted areas
- Mopping tiled surfaces
- Dusting all surfaces (desks, tables, cupboards, windowsills etc.)
- Cleaning corridors and communal areas
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets using designated equipment and chemicals
- Replacing hand towels and toilet rolls
- Emptying bins
- Ensuring areas are hygienic for same-day or next-day use
Key tasks and responsibilities are intended as a guide to the range and level of work expected. This is not an exhaustive list, and you may be required to undertake other reasonable duties as required.
