We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our Housing Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining flats, communal areas, and closes to a high standard. This role requires driving a company van to various housing properties, so a valid driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean void and occupied flats to a high standard
- Clean communal areas including closes, stairwells, landings, and entrances
- Remove litter and dispose of waste appropriately
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks as required
- Report any maintenance issues or health & safety concerns
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
- Drive a company van to travel between properties
- Ensure cleaning schedules are completed within required timeframes
Requirements:
- Full, valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to drive a van confidently and safely
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
