My client, a well-established control panel manufacturer, are currently seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels to a high standard, ensuring all work complies with relevant specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring and assembling electrical control panels from schematic diagrams
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and layouts
- Installing components such as relays, PLCs, and circuit breakers
- Conducting testing and fault-finding on completed panels
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Working closely with engineers and production teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Panel Wireman or similar role
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with PLC wiring
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds)
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
