We are looking for an energetic, engaging and adaptable professional to join us in a unique hybrid role combining customer-facing track operations with small-group vocational teaching. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their week - spending part of their time delivering brilliant customer experiences as a Host/Marshal, and part of their time leading practical learning sessions for young people in a structured, supportive environment. This is a genuinely varied role where no two days look the same. You will be part of a fast-paced, fun and customer-focused environment while also helping young people build confidence, develop practical skills and engage positively in learning. It is ideal for someone who wants a role with energy, purpose and progression.
The Role
As our Hybrid Track Host / Marshal & Vocational Instructor, you will work across two core areas of the business. On some days, you will support the day-to-day customer experience on site as a Host/Marshal, ensuring guests are welcomed, briefed, supported and kept safe. On other days, you will lead small vocational classes for young people, delivering practical, structured sessions focused on basic mechanics and employability-focused learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome, register and brief customers, helping to create an outstanding experience from arrival to finish
- Support race operations, including flagging, commentary, customer guidance and track-side safety
- Assist guests with race equipment, including helmets, suits and kart set-up where required
- Carry out key marshal duties to ensure races run safely and smoothly
- Deliver engaging small-group teaching sessions, typically to around 8 learners
- Teach basic mechanics to a Level 1 standard, including health and safety, safe tool use, braking systems, engines and vehicle components
- Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment for young people, including learners with SEND
- Build positive rapport with both customers and learners, adapting your communication style to suit the audience
- Work closely with colleagues to support learner progress, customer satisfaction and overall site performance
- Contribute to sales, upselling and excellent service standards across the venue
About You
- You are confident, approachable and comfortable leading groups in both customer-facing and teaching environments
- You have experience in instruction, coaching, youth work, training or a similar hands-on role
- You have a strong understanding of basic mechanics and can explain practical concepts clearly and safely
- You bring energy, patience, professionalism and a positive attitude to your work
- You are organised, safety-conscious and able to adapt to the demands of a varied week
- You care about inclusion, engagement and helping people have a positive experience, whether they are customers or learners
- Experience supporting young people or learners with additional needs would be highly desirable
What We Offer
- A unique hybrid role with variety, purpose and development potential
- The opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while making a real difference to young people
- Internal development and upskilling opportunities
- Go-karting from £1, discounted food and drink, and access to a benefits and rewards platform
- Company pension, health and wellbeing support, employee discount and referral scheme
- Free parking and on-site facilities where available
What You Need to Know
This role is designed as one official hybrid position. Your working week will include time spent on track supporting customers as a Host/Marshal, as well as dedicated teaching days delivering vocational learning. Flexibility is important, and some evening and weekend working may be required depending on business needs. Teaching or vocational qualifications are welcome, but practical experience, the right attitude and the ability to lead confidently are just as important.
