The predicted salary is between 27353 - 33431 Β£ per year.

We're looking for a passionate, engaging Instructor to teach and lead small classes of around 8 students. This is a hands-on teaching role for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, setting clear expectations, and creating a positive, structured learning environment.

This role would particularly suit someone with experience as an instructor, coach, CFAV or youth leader who is confident managing groups and motivating young people through practical, inclusive learning.

What you'll be doing:

  • Teaching and leading small-group classes (typically around 8 learners)
  • Delivering engaging, well-structured learning sessions
  • Teaching basic mechanics to a Level 1 standard, including: H&S, Safe use of basic tools, How things work in practice, Core concepts such as combustion engines, braking systems and vehicle components
  • Supporting learners with SEND within a group teaching environment
  • Creating a calm, inclusive and well-managed classroom culture
  • Working closely with colleagues to support learner progress

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is confident leading and teaching groups of young people
  • Has basic mechanical knowledge at a Level 1 standard
  • Can explain practical concepts clearly and safely
  • Communicates clearly and builds strong rapport
  • Brings consistency, patience and a positive leadership style
  • Has experience in education, training, youth work or as a CFAV (highly desirable)
  • Believes in inclusion and helping every learner succeed

Teaching or vocational qualifications are welcome, but we are not looking for qualified mechanics - the right attitude, presence and foundational knowledge matter most.
