The Role

We are recruiting for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our track team as a Junior Mechanic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of go‑karts, ensuring they are in top‑notch condition for our customers.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Execute general maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and cleaning of the go‑karts.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist with track preparation and set‑up for race events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns or enquiries related to go‑kart performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance (cars, bicycles, motorbikes, quad bikes, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of engine mechanics and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for go‑karting and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as per business needs.

Shifts are available from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and evenings, on a 4, 12, 20 or 30 hour per week contract.
