Purpose of the role
To be responsible for the procurement fo materials and services
Procurement of materials & services primarily for UK assets
Carrying out a diverse range of tasks related to the buying function and draw on experience, adapt and modify accordingly based on changing priorities and circumstances
Co-ordination of Purchase Agreements with suppliers
Ensuring orders are up to date and complete with amendments if required
Maintaining checks of cost, quality and level of service provided by vendors
Fostering an awareness of and adherence to relevant legislation, Regulations and best practice
Reviewing and satisfying asset requirements by way of standard supply chain processes
Liaising with internal customers and other relevant parties
Ad hoc expediting of materials / services and liaising with suppliers and third parties ensuring materials arrive at the end user at the right place at the right time ensuring production is not impacted at any time

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Experience in a Buyer / Expeditor position.

Excellent standard in the presentation and delivery of work.

Experience within the Energy Sector
Understanding of the goods / services being procured/expedited.
Education
Good general education
Computer skills essential (Microsoft Office Suite).

Previous experience with Maximo or other asset management software.
