We are recruiting an Electrical Technician for a 3 on 4 off rotation through to April. The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and integrity of all electrical distribution systems on the installation. The role includes acting as Senior Authorised Person Electrical (SAPE) and performing the duties of Responsible Person Electrical (RPE) when competent and authorised to do so. General Responsibilities Reporting to the Electrical Lead, the Electrical Technician will be responsible for: Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems, including switching operations Carrying out routine inspections of the entire electrical installation Keeping the RPE and/or Electrical Lead informed of all activities and developments Liaising with other departments to ensure electrical defects are addressed promptly Inspecting contractors\’ electrical equipment and maintaining inspection registers Controlling and managing all electrical equipment Maintaining electrical emergency systems to ensure immediate availability Performing and monitoring electrical maintenance and repairs in accordance with company procedures and industry standards Ensuring planned maintenance is completed on schedule and recorded within the Maximo Maintenance Management System Managing spare parts efficiently and economically Making electrical isolations in accordance with the Permit to Work system Deputising for the Electrical Lead when required Complying with company management systems, safety case, policies, procedures, electrical safety rules, environmental management systems, and competency schemes Performing all duties in a safe and responsible manner at all times Safety & Environmental Critical Activities Isolator – electronic permit to work system Electrical work in hazardous areas Ex maintenance High-voltage work Maintenance of electrical emergency systems Isolation of plant and equipment Acting as a nominated and delegated Area Authority when required Emergency Response Duties Offshore Emergency Response Team Member Offshore Emergency Helideck Team Member Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Education & Experience Mandatory Qualifications Combined Offshore Survival, Fire Fighting & HUET MIST / IMIST OGUK Offshore Medical OGUK Certificate of Fitness to Participate in Emergency Response Team Duties Electrical or E&I qualification recognised under the National Qualifications Framework OR a completed registered or indentured apprenticeship Experience Proven practical experience in electrical installation work and switching HV/MV switching experience Core Crew experience preferred Role-Specific Training Installation Safety Induction Authorised Gas Tester Electronic Permit to Work (Area Authority / Performing Authority) Isolating Authority Environmental Awareness CompEx (5-day Hazardous Areas) Electrical Protection HV / LV Switching Authorised Electrical Person Senior Authorised Electrical Person Emergency Response Team Member Helideck Team Member Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Training Electricity at Work Regulations Maximo CMMS Dangerous Goods by Air Awareness Supplementary Certification First Aid at Work (1 Day)
