Team Penske’s Creative Team helps oversee the team’s social media platforms, which has a combined ecosphere of nearly five million followers and growing covering NASCAR, INDYCAR and IMSA. In addition to keeping the fans up-to-date on all things Team Penske and providing unique and behind-the-scenes digital content, the Creative Team also serves as an additional resource for Team Penske’s Marketing department, which helps foster relationships with the team’s 45 corporate partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting and best strategies applied across the varying platforms.
  • Monitor social media trends and present new ideas to enhance the current content strategy to increase total followers and engagement.
  • Develop and execute customized social media plans for partners, including content strategy, posting schedules, and performance goals.
  • Participate in community management and crisis communications, including the ability to adapt messaging and posting strategies during live events.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on social media requests and provide recommendations on social media support that fit the business objectives and role of channel KPIs.
  • Manage content and plan specific, timely posts alongside the creative team.
  • Monitor performance analytics for all team social channels, analyzing trends, measuring results against objectives, and producing comprehensive reports to guide social strategy and decision-making.
  • Adapt social performance insights into relevant reports for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive and direct strategy for Team Penske social channels based on best practices within the industry and the team’s ongoing social performance.
  • Fulfill and coordinate partnership/sponsorship content requests with account managers/drivers.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously - both planned and unplanned.
  • Create compelling short-form content for Team Penske digital media platforms.
  • Work to capture both inner-office and at-track social media content of drivers, partner activations, etc.
  • Keep up with important team dates and milestones and create digital content to use with social media posts.
  • Be a part of the planning process for yearly content capture ideation and support execution.
  • Serve as liaison between team and sanctioning bodies to collaborate on social content programming and messaging.
  • Serve as a resource for the team on how to best produce video content for partners.
  • Participate in weekly meetings, brainstorming sessions and give detailed reports.
  • Participate in calls with partners and the communications team when needed to come up with new and engaging ways to showcase our partners and drivers through content.
  • Be an adaptable team player in all situations, including performing other duties as assigned.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience within the field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, specifically within social media and video content production and development roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in social media tools with strong understanding of best practices and nuances of each channel (Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube).
  • Knowledge of social reporting and analytics tools (i.e. Zoomph, META Insights, etc.) and creating reports.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a focus on audience engagement and conversion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; and the ability to communicate across all levels within an organization.
  • Strong proficiency in project management, supported by working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, development, design, and database software.
  • Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of motorsports is preferred. Previous experience working with production companies.
  • Exceptional level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with others in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed.
  • Maintain the company’s professional image and message at all times.
  • Ability to work weekends and travel frequently throughout the year, with a heavy emphasis on race weekend travel and additional weekday travel as needed.
