Role and Responsibilities

The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of general accounting support tasks within the Accounting Department.

The ideal candidate will be organized and perform all duties with a high attention to detail while following company procedures.

This position requires a satisfactory background and credit check.

  • Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
  • Respond timely and appropriately with Vendors, Customers, and Internal Departments.
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Update invoices and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions.
  • Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.
  • Prepare checks, electronic payments, and deposits.
  • Assist accounting staff with any tasks conducted within the Accounting Department.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Preferred - 2 Year Associate Degree in Accounting.
  • Will consider experience in lieu of associate degree.

  • General understanding of accounting principles.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
