p /p p b Role and Responsibilities /b /p p The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of general accounting support tasks within the Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will be organized and perform all duties with a high attention to detail while following company procedures. This position requires a satisfactory background and credit check. /p ul li Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc. /li li Respond timely and appropriately with Vendors, Customers, and Internal Departments. /li li Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. /li li Update invoices and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions. /li li Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current. /li li Prepare checks, electronic payments, and deposits. /li li Assist accounting staff with any tasks conducted within the Accounting Department. /li /ul p b Qualifications and Education Requirements /b /p ul li Preferred - 2 Year Associate Degree in Accounting. /li li Will consider experience in lieu of associate degree. /li /ul p b Preferred Skills /b /p ul li General understanding of accounting principles. /li li Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. /li li Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. /li li Attention to detail. /li /ul
