Job Description
We are seeking a Damper Engineer to support the design, testing, and development of damper systems that directly influence race car ride and performance. This role involves working closely with a small team of engineers and technicians while also collaborating with the broader engineering group. The successful candidate will contribute to damper assembly, testing, simulation, and data analysis, providing valuable insights and recommendations that enhance overall vehicle performance on track.
Responsibilities

Support damper assembly and quality control workflows.

Assist with damper dyno testing processes.

Contribute to 7-Post shaker-rig testing and analysis.

Conduct simulation studies to improve vehicle performance.

Analyze data from dyno tests, 7-Post rig tests, and track sessions.

Use CAD software to create and update damper-related designs.

Test and maintain coil spring and bump rubber inventory.

Compile technical reports, present simulation results, and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvements.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (minimum 3.0 GPA).

3+ years of motorsports-related experience (FSAE and non-professional racing experience considered).

Proficiency in MATLAB and CAD software (NX, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks).

Strong interest in dampers, ride dynamics, and general vehicle dynamics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
