Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Support Worker, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our service users. This position involves safeguarding, providing one-to-one tailored support to individual needs, including assistance with education, training, employment, improving well-being and partaking in recreational activities, while fostering a positive environment for personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in meaningful and necessary interactions, including daily documentation via an online, secure portal.
  • Conduct one-to-one sessions with clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Organise and participate in outing activities that promote social engagement and community involvement.
  • Offer support with daily activities, including cleaning, shopping, and cooking, to encourage independent life skills.
  • Monitor and document weekly or monthly progression to ensure optimal support and development.
  • Assist clients with primary care services, including registering and scheduling appointments. Accompany them to their GP, Dentist, or Opticians.
  • Assist with other personal or miscellaneous appointments where necessary.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide a caring and effective support system for clients with diverse needs, including ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Learning Difficulties.
  • Be adaptable and attentive to the varying needs of clients, both during placements and in the community.
  • Contribute to delivering high-quality support and achieving positive outcomes for service users.

Shifts

  • Flexible shift patterns are available. Daytime and nighttime shifts throughout the week and weekends.

Locations

Romford, Hornchurch, and Dagenham (all within a 5-10 minute drive of each other).

Preferred Skills

  • A compassionate and person-centred approach to working with individuals with special and complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in support work or related fields is advantageous, but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
