What You'll Do
The Picking Lead is responsible for directing and supporting the daily operations of the picking department to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely product flow throughout the warehouse. This role provides leadership to the picking team across all product categories — including tobacco, OTP, beverage, grocery, freezer/cooler, and general exceptions — ensuring standard work practices are followed, productivity targets are met, and product integrity is maintained from picking to outbound staging. The Picking Lead acts as a hands-on leader who balances operational execution with coaching, communication, and continuous improvement.
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 2nd shift
Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (overtime as needed). Because we’re a customer order-driven operation, end times aren’t fixed — we work until the day’s orders are done.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily picking operations and staffing, prioritize workloads, and assign tasks based on order volume, staffing levels, and outbound schedules.
- Lead the flow of product across all picking zones
- Monitor performance against targets and communicate results to associates
- Verify that all completed orders are properly selected, labeled, and ready for sortation/loading in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Drive accountability to State/County/City Tax laws for tobacco and OTP products
Work Environment
Work takes place in our warehouse facility with concrete floors and temperature conditions that vary slightly by season, with ambient areas that can be cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer.
