We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and commercially astute team player with an affinity for business and communications to successfully execute the role of Senior Account Manager (‘SAM’) within the Capital Markets division. Our ideal candidate will be bright and energetic in nature. You’ll have both the resilience and gravitas to successfully support clients and the wider team.
You’ll hold a variety of responsibilities and complete a wide range of exciting and challenging work that includes frequent client contact, participating in new business activity, arranging events and marketing.
Essential skills and experiences:- Minimum of 5+ years communications experience – preferably with some Capital Markets experience
- Interest and enthusiasm for the City and Capital Markets communications
- Passion for the media, current affairs and business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good attention to detail
- Analytical, creative and inquisitive
- Time management skills, including adapting to changing priorities and multi-tasking to deliver to deadlines, as well as a flexible attitude to working out of hours on occasions when required
- A strong understanding of the media, with the communication and business skills needed to run accounts
- Able to handle RNS news announcements including managing client sign off
- Good understanding of the role of social media and broader digital landscape
- Recognises a crisis situation and knows how to escalate response
- Effective at delivering financial calendar communications programmes
- Developing advisory skills and growing awareness of regulatory best practice
- Able to judge a material price sensitive issue and seek senior counsel
- Developing a network of City contacts as well as financial/business media
- Running a broad range of tasks and supporting other Capital Markets team members
- Compiling coverage reports, research
- Day to day client contact and managing relationships where appropriate
- Provision of advice and guidance to clients
- Ensuring efficient, high-quality day to day delivery of client programmes
- Driving and coordinating media and analyst relations activity
- Drafting written materials that are well-informed and audience appropriate, requiring minimal input from senior team members
- Assisting in the development of new business proposals and pitch presentations
- Planning and managing the organisation of client events
- Assisting in the nurturing of junior team members including on-the-job coaching
- Drafting press releases and handling RNS announcements
- Building media and sell-side analyst relations skills
- Social media engagement
