Purpose of the role
The Marketing Manager leads on all local marketing activity including: branding, positioning, corporate messaging and external communications.
The Marketing Manager must effectively deliver both short and long-term local marketing campaigns to achieve commercial goals.
They work closely with the Global Marketing team.
Key responsibilities and tasks
- Website
- Monitors the UK website for performance and quality
- Assists in developing SEO strategies featuring target keyword rankings and applying them to website development projects
- Uses Google Analytics to identify opportunities for best performing content to drive traffic acquisition
- Supports global web masters to ensure consistency of quality and success
- Social Media and traffic acquisition:=
- Develops and publishes regular content on our social media channels
- Implements and manages social media advertising campaigns aligned with a multichannel approach
- Configures tracking strategies to capture the performance of promotions on social media
- SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
- Builds and maintains external relationships with journalists, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders/audiences
- Content
- Drafts online content for a variety of formats and channels including case studies, award entries, blog posts and social media
- Helps produce video content (drafting scripts, managing shoots, co-editing)
- Supports the blog content and contribute to the global calendar
- Develops content that can be used across multiple channels
- Lead Nurturing
- Implements outbound campaigns to nurture leads throughout the entire buying process and optimise convert that traffic into leads
- Manages the production/creation of online campaigns and suggest ideas for creative outreach campaigns
- Works closely with the Client Engagement Team to ensure marketing is central to driving brand awareness and generation of qualified leads
- Monitors marketing qualified leads and flag/refer new business opportunities to senior team members
- Reporting and analysis
- Monitors campaign performance data and contributes to global marketing reports, including campaigns such as website performance, mailers, advertising and social media activity
- Monitors and analyses engagements on social media and responds as appropriate
- Analyses and evaluates results and data to make campaign and investment recommendations
- Compiles ad-hoc reports and/or analysis as and when required, in addition to monthly reports of local marketing activity
- Systems and administration
- Be a super-user of the team's major marketing tools for social media management, content management systems and email [namely Sharp Spring, Oktopost, and SEOMoz]
- Understands tools and channels, and is able to train any junior team members on their use
- Updates and maintains documents on the intranet and Marcomms server and other work spaces used by the team
- Minutes team meetings and proactively helps to drive actions to ensure projects stay on-track
- Manages administrative tasks for the team as appropriate
- General
- Supports the Head of Global Marketing and the wider marketing team on projects and initiatives
- Be a cultural ambassador for the marketing team; promoting initiatives internally and externally; showcasing activities and achievements on Yammer and social media
- Attends agency and industry events as appropriate to represent the agency
- Seeks ways to increase knowledge for self-improvement and to improve the team’s ability to deliver results
- Proactively suggests new processes and tools to improve efficiency and performance of the team
About you
- Deep knowledge of and passion for marketing, digital strategy, lead generation, conversion rate optimisation, email marketing and social media in addition to SEO
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, using data to make strategic decisions
- Outstanding project management, communication and relationship building skills
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Sugar CRM and Sharp Spring
- Experience with design, photos, video editing software and HTML
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, communications or digital media-related subject)
