TEAM LEWIS is seeking an ambitious, proactive individual to join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Finance Assistant. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day transactional activities and management accounting, learning directly from experienced colleagues. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with at least one year of relevant experience—industry knowledge is highly desirable. TEAM LEWIS saw that support was crucial and change was needed to make that happen. Our local causes scheme was launched. Every member of TEAM LEWIS can nominate a local cause close to their heart to receive a cash donation. In addition, nominated causes can also benefit from a donation in kind of expertise, time, and resources. In the past year TEAM LEWIS has donated almost $2 million to 445 causes around the world.
Purpose of the role:
To provide effective and efficient finance transactional support to the UK finance team, delivering a high level of service with company and legal requirements. This role will also involve supporting on specific finance projects and tasks.
- Management Accounting & Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including revenue reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, and journal postings. Support monthly variance analysis and provide insightful commentary. Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making. Support the preparation of statutory filings. Liaise with internal departments to gather financial information and resolve queries.
- Process Improvement & Audit Support: Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial processes and systems. Support audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries. Assist with the year-end audit process and manage the archiving system. Compile ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
- General: Act as a cultural ambassador for the region, promoting finance initiatives and activities via social media and internal channels. Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems, practices, and policies. Provide cover for team members during absences. Add and maintain project and task codes in the timesheet system. Undertake ad-hoc duties and project work as required.
