We are seeking a video editor to create visuals for our social media, YouTube channel and blog to showcase how the lives of rural Kenyan communities can be impacted. It is an opportunity for a volunteer’s skills and creativity to shine and help reach audiences for a great cause. What difference will you make? We are a small charity, each one of our volunteers are key to our success and key to improving the lives of girls and women in rural Kenya so not only will you gain valuable experience but you will also make a genuine difference.
What are we looking for?
- Technical skills
- Editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Fundamental transitions and motion graphics.
- Color grading and color correction.
- Sound syncing and audio editing.
- Editing videos for various platforms (e.g., social media, websites, TikTok and YouTube).
- Storytelling through visuals and editing.
- The incorporation of appropriate rhythm, timing, and flow.
- The selection of appropriate audio, video, and effects.
- Brand voice and visual consistency.
- Time management and sense of responsibility.
What will you be doing?
A volunteer will work with the Comms & Marketing Team Lead and fellow volunteers from the Comms & Marketing and Fundraising teams to develop campaigns on social platforms and email outreach (we may include short videos into our newsletters), lead content on YouTube and TikTok. The core responsibility is to create engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms, blog and video channels. It's important to ensure that online content complies with the company’s image and standards.
