Are you an experienced Production or Quality Supervisor with a background in electrical manufacturing or control panel assembly? TeamJobs is recruiting for a hands-on and detail-driven Production & Quality Team Leader to join a well-established engineering company based in Poole. The Role
- Lead a small team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Combine team supervision, hands-on testing, and continuous improvement to help drive quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Supervise and motivate a team of 3-6 technicians.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical inspections and functional testing.
- Maintain production and quality documentation to ISO 9001 standards.
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimise workflow.
- Promote continuous improvement and ensure a safe working environment.
About You
- Proven background in electrical manufacturing or control panel production.
- Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and wiring schematics.
- Confident leading a small team while remaining hands-on.
- Experience in quality assurance, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
- Level 3 Engineering qualification (or higher).
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 audits.
- Familiarity with PLC control systems.
