We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator. This role involves running boards through placement machines, ovens, and testing finished goods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, following Standard Operating Procedures and maintaining high quality standards.
Shift Pattern: Night Shift - Sun - Thurs, 2200 - 0600 £15.26 (rising to £15.81 after 12 weeks on site)
Location: Horsham
Please note: Training required for 8-12 weeks on AM Shift 0600-1330 or on PM Shift 13.30-21.00, standard pay rate applies during training period (£12.21)
Key Responsibilities:
- Using the SMT equipment to create PCBs according to SOPs and standard build times
- Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality
- Operate test equipment and interpret pass/fail criteria
- Maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols
- Participate in daily shift briefings and end-of-shift handovers
- Collaborate with a team of approximately 10 colleagues under a structured shift management system
What We're Looking For:
- Machine operation experience (SMT operation would be a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions in English
- Good communication skills and ability to retain and apply information
- Physically capable of performing tasks involving standing, bending, and light lifting
- Comfortable working in a mixed seated/standing environment
- Willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to team goals
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with APC / manual Insertion
- Experience using test equipment in a production setting
- Background in similar industries
