The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems, components, and large scale equipment for use in manufacturing or power generation or transmission
- Prepare electrical schematics, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation
- Analyze system requirements and ensure compliance with safety codes and standards
- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for electrical issues
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Conduct inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and software engineers on multidisciplinary projects
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend design enhancements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power systems, and circuit design
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, or similar tools)
- Understanding of relevant electrical codes and standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay Rate: DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (can be flexible with start and finish time, to be discussed upon Interview).
Full BPSS Screening (Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.
