We are seeking an experienced and creative Product Design Engineer to join our client's engineering team. This role involves designing new products and improving existing ones using Computer-Aided Design (CAD), with a strong emphasis on Building Information Modeling (BIM). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other engineering staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard of quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new products using CAD and BIM tools
- Improve and evaluate existing products, parts, and processes
- Assess designs for cost efficiency, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines
- Ensure project completion according to specifications and standards
- Lead or direct the work of others when required
- Apply sound judgment, experience, and creativity to solve complex design challenges
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related specialty
- Proven experience and demonstrated capability in product design or a related field
- Strong BIM experience (essential)
- Proficiency with CAD software
- Solid understanding of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
