TeamJobs are recruiting for an Electrical Assembler to join our client, a growing electronics manufacturer based in Fareham. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for someone with experience in electrical or electronic assembly who enjoys hands-on, precision work.

Hours & Salary for this Electrical Assembler role:

  • Permanent position
  • Monday to Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible start between 6:00am - 9:00am
  • Finish between 2:30pm - 5:30pm (depending on start time)
  • £31,200 - £35,100 per annum (£16.00 - £18.00 per hour), depending on experience

What this Electrical Assembler role will include:

  • Assembling wire harnesses, cable looms and electrical assemblies
  • Soldering, wiring and crimping to a high standard
  • Building electrical and electronic products from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Preparing and terminating cables and connectors
  • Carrying out continuity testing and basic electrical checks
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Working closely with engineers and the production team to resolve assembly issues where required

Requirements for this Electrical Assembler role:

  • Previous experience in electrical, electronics or cable assembly
  • Proven soldering, wiring and crimping experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Confident using hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, soldering irons and multimeters
  • Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team

Desirable but not essential:

  • IPC certification (WHMA-A-620 or J-STD-001)
  • Experience assembling wire harnesses, cable looms, control panels or prototype builds
  • Experience working within an electronics manufacturing environment
