TeamJobs are looking for an experienced Materials Coordinator to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Totton. This is a key role within the operation - you'll be responsible for making sure production has the right materials, in the right quantities, at the right time. We're looking for someone who really understands the full materials process within a manufacturing environment. You'll need experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and be confident managing the volume and flow of materials going into production.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the day-to-day flow of materials into production
  • Working from Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure the correct parts and quantities are available
  • Monitoring stock levels and preventing shortages that could impact production
  • Receiving, checking and distributing incoming goods
  • Using Kanban and MRP systems to manage and record stock
  • Coordinating materials between stores, production and assembly
  • Preparing components and project boxes ready for assembly
  • Supporting purchasing with material and external parts ordering
  • Working closely with Production, Quality, Procurement and Assembly

What we're looking for:

  • Previous Materials Coordinator/Materials Controller/Stores experience
  • Strong understanding of the materials process within manufacturing
  • Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Strong stock control and inventory experience
  • Kanban experience
  • MRP/ERP system experience
  • Confident managing multiple materials, components and part numbers
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

What's on offer:

  • £28,000-£32,000
  • Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
