TeamJobs are recruiting exclusively for a Head of Operations to join a successful, growing FMCG manufacturing business at an exciting stage of its development. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility across Production, Bottling, Warehouse and Logistics, with the opportunity to genuinely influence how the operation develops as the business continues to grow.

We're looking for someone who can operate strategically, bring departments together and develop the people, processes and performance needed to support future growth - while remaining visible and connected to the day-to-day operation.

  • Salary up to £80,000
  • Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
  • Permanent position

The Role

You’ll take overall responsibility for Production, Bottling, Warehouse and Logistics, ensuring the operation delivers against safety, quality, service, cost and performance targets. Working closely with Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Technical and Laboratory teams, you’ll ensure departments are aligned and working towards the same operational and business goals. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the future operation - reviewing capacity, structure, processes, systems and investment as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Production, Bottling, Warehouse and Logistics
  • Develop and deliver the operational strategy to support business growth
  • Drive improvements across output, OEE, waste, downtime, labour and cost
  • Lead and develop operational teams, building capability and succession
  • Work collaboratively across Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Technical and Labs
  • Ensure capacity, labour, equipment and materials are effectively planned
  • Use KPIs and data to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Support new product introductions and process changes
  • Influence future equipment and capital investment decisions
  • Maintain high standards across HACCP, GMP, food safety, quality and H&S

About You

You’ll be an experienced Operations or Manufacturing leader from an FMCG food or drink environment, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level. You’ll be commercially aware, confident working across multiple departments and experienced in leading teams through growth, change or operational improvement. Most importantly, you’ll want a role where you can have real influence - developing the operation, building strong teams and playing a key part in the future growth of the business.
