TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a large, fast-paced FMCG food distribution operation in Fareham. This is a key first-line leadership position within the night warehouse operation, managing a team of approximately 10-15 warehouse colleagues. We are looking for an established warehouse leader who can drive performance, develop their team and maintain high operational standards within a demanding FMCG distribution environment.

Salary & Hours:

  • Circa £37,000 basic salary + 20% night shift allowance
  • Total earnings circa £44,400 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 10:00pm - 6:00am
  • Working 5 days over 7 - typically Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday
  • Permanent opportunity

The Role:

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will take ownership of your area within the night warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, service, safety and quality standards are consistently achieved.

You will:

  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of approximately 10-15 warehouse colleagues
  • Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of goods
  • Ensure productivity, accuracy and service targets are consistently achieved
  • Plan workloads and effectively manage resources throughout the shift
  • Monitor team performance and address any issues impacting service or productivity
  • Coach, train and develop colleagues to improve individual and team performance
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and safe working practices
  • Drive employee engagement and create a positive working environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and productivity
  • Work closely with the Shift Manager and wider management team to deliver overall site performance

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience supervising or managing a warehouse team is essential
  • Previous food/FMCG distribution experience is essential
  • Experience within a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse operation
  • Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
  • Confident managing productivity, performance and operational KPIs
  • Strong organisation, workload planning and problem-solving skills
  • A confident communicator with a hands-on approach to leadership
  • Previous night shift experience would be highly advantageous
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

The Opportunity:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or First Line Manager looking to join a substantial FMCG food distribution operation. You'll be the first line of management on the warehouse floor, with genuine responsibility for your team and area, reporting into the Shift Manager and working closely with the wider operational management team.
