The Role
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you’ll have full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and overall performance of a manufacturing facility. You’ll lead production teams, coordinate with engineering, purchasing, quality, commercial and support functions, and ensure customer commitments are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with operational execution and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Leading the Operation
- Taking ownership of the site's operational performance.
- Delivering products Right First Time, On Time and In Full.
- Driving productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.

- Planning & Production Control
- Managing production schedules and capacity planning.
- Ensuring work orders are released and delivered in line with customer demand.
- Working closely with internal teams to maintain production flow.
- Identifying risks early and implementing solutions.

- Leading, coaching and developing production and support teams.
- Creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and supporting employee development.
- Ensuring teams have the resources and direction needed to succeed.
- Operational Excellence
- Promoting accurate use of ERP and production systems.
- Monitoring performance through KPIs and operational reporting.
- Driving improvements in quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting a proactive Health & Safety culture across the site.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Acting as the operational point of contact for customers.
- Managing delivery expectations and communicating proactively.
- Working cross-functionally to ensure customer requirements are consistently achieved.
