We are recruiting on behalf of a successful manufacturing business seeking an experienced Production Planner to support the efficient flow of work through production. Working closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams, you will ensure materials, capacity, and planning information are aligned to meet delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, route, and release works orders through the manufacturing process
  • Maintain production routes and planning data within the ERP system
  • Review material and component requirements for production
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation, including works orders and drawings
  • Maintain and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), resolving any data discrepancies
  • Support engineering changes and make/buy decisions
  • Communicate production priorities and progress across departments
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Previous experience in a Production Planner or Manufacturing Planner role
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, and engineering drawings
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across multiple teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Knowledge of capacity planning
