A growing engineering and manufacturing business operating within the defence and maritime sectors is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its production team in Poole.

The Role:

You will be responsible for manufacturing cable assemblies and harnesses to a high standard, while supporting the wiring and assembly of electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cable assembly, looming and lacing
  • Wiring sub-assemblies and enclosures to engineering instructions
  • Working to IPC620 and MOD standards
  • Maintaining high housekeeping and quality standards
  • Working safely within an ESD-controlled environment
  • Supporting production activities within a collaborative team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within an electrical manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience with cable assembly, wiring or harnessing
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification desirable but not essential
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
