A growing engineering and manufacturing business operating within the defence and maritime sectors is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its production team in Poole.
The Role:
You will be responsible for manufacturing cable assemblies and harnesses to a high standard, while supporting the wiring and assembly of electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cable assembly, looming and lacing
- Wiring sub-assemblies and enclosures to engineering instructions
- Working to IPC620 and MOD standards
- Maintaining high housekeeping and quality standards
- Working safely within an ESD-controlled environment
- Supporting production activities within a collaborative team
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an electrical manufacturing or production environment
- Experience with cable assembly, wiring or harnessing
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification desirable but not essential
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
