A well-established precision engineering company based in Totton is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Supervisor to lead its machining team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on CNC professional who enjoys leading by example, driving quality, and supporting continuous improvement within a modern subcontract machining environment.

CNC Supervisor - The Role

  • Supervising and supporting the CNC machining team
  • Planning and prioritising daily production
  • Programming, setting and operating CNC machines when required
  • Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are achieved
  • Conducting first-off inspections and supporting quality procedures
  • Providing technical support and mentoring machinists
  • Working closely with management to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Promoting a safe, organised and professional workshop

CNC Supervisor - What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a CNC machining supervisory or team leader role
  • Strong CNC programming, setting and operating background
  • Experience within a subcontract precision engineering environment
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Competent using a wide range of inspection equipment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
