Are you an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking to step away from the tools and move into an office-based, customer-focused role? We're recruiting for a Technical Account Executive to join a growing and well-established fire and security business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in intruder alarms, CCTV and access control who wants to develop their career in account management while continuing to use their technical expertise.
You’ll be the technical point of contact for existing customers, building long-term relationships, advising on solutions and ensuring projects and service requirements are delivered to a high standard.
The Role
Working from the company's office, you’ll support an established customer base by providing technical advice, managing client accounts and liaising with engineers and internal teams to ensure the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with existing customers.
- Provide technical guidance on fire and security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
- Prepare quotations and recommend suitable solutions based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure work is planned and completed efficiently.
- Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to completion.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing customer systems and services.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience while building long-term client relationships.
About You
- Previous experience within the Fire & Security industry is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
- An engineering background is highly desirable, particularly for candidates looking to move into account management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer requirements.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in account management.
