We are looking for an experienced Internal Sales Team Leader or Manager to join the team at their head office in Poole. You will be instrumental in leading, developing, and motivating a proactive sales team, responsible for both inbound and outbound activity.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced sales environment. You will manage a team who are quoting, advising and supporting customers with complex product requirements - so an understanding of technical sales and a commercial mindset is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the performance, motivation and coaching of the internal sales team
- Monitor and report on team KPIs and individual targets
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of quotes and customer orders
- Support your team in responding to technical enquiries across multiple channels
- Proactively lead outbound activity - including account management and lead generation
- Strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to uncover commercial opportunities
- Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to deliver accurate solutions
- Promote upselling and cross-selling across the full product range
- Ensure CRM data is accurate and up to date (HubSpot)
What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience:
- Proven leadership experience in internal or outbound sales
- Excellent communication and performance coaching skills
- Strong commercial awareness and sales acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
- Ability to work at pace with accuracy and attention to detail
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to construction or technical product sales
- Understanding of contract documents or building plans
- Previous sales to contractors, developers or the trades sector
- Knowledge of mechanical or natural ventilation systems (advantageous but not essential)
