We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering specialist building services and life-safety projects across London. This is a hands-on role that will involve installation, testing, commissioning, fault finding, client liaison, and project delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and end users to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, fault-find, snag, and commission smoke ventilation systems.
- Conduct site inspections, fault finding, and problem solving.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor subcontractors and support site activities.
- Complete commissioning records and project documentation.
- Provide system training to clients where required.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with health and safety requirements.
- Support project delivery from installation through to completion.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within engineering, controls, HVAC, building services, or a related industry.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and site plans.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- CSCS card preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel when required.
