We are recruiting for a Sales Assistant to join a growing, fast-paced business within the renewable energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous telesales or outbound calling experience who enjoys speaking with customers and wants to develop their career within a successful sales environment.
Working as part of a supportive office-based team, you will be responsible for contacting prospective customers, generating interest and booking quality appointments for the field sales team. You will work with a mixture of warm and cold leads, while also managing sales representatives' diaries to ensure appointments are planned efficiently.
What you'll be doing:
- Contacting prospective customers via warm and cold leads
- Speaking with customers to understand their requirements and generate interest
- Booking qualified appointments for field-based sales representatives
- Managing and coordinating sales diaries
- Planning appointments efficiently to maximise productivity and minimise unnecessary travel
- Following up with enquiries and rescheduling appointments where required
- Handling customer questions and overcoming initial objections
- Updating customer details and activity accurately on the CRM system
- Working towards individual and team targets
- Supporting the wider sales team to deliver an excellent customer experience
What we're looking for:
- You’ll be confident, personable and comfortable spending a large part of your day speaking with customers over the phone.
- Previous telesales or outbound calling experience is essential, alongside:
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Good organisational and diary management abilities
- Confidence handling objections
- A positive and target-driven approach
- Good IT and CRM skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
- A reliable and professional attitude
- Previous experience within solar, renewable energy or a similar industry would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
