Are you an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking for a varied role where you can work across multiple disciplines? We’re working with an established fire and security specialist. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer to join their team in the Manchester area.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of a range of fire and security systems. This is a varied position, with the opportunity to work across different technologies rather than being limited to one area. Your work will include:
- Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems
- Working on fire suppression systems
- Installing, maintaining and fault finding security systems
- Working with CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
- Carrying out inspections, testing and compliance checks
- Diagnosing faults and providing effective technical solutions
- Ensuring systems are operating correctly and in line with relevant standards
- Supporting wider fire safety projects and providing technical advice where required
- Travelling to customer sites across the region
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in fire and security:
- Previous experience working with fire and security systems
- Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards, particularly BS 5839
- Experience with fire alarms and/or security systems
- A practical, problem-solving approach
- The ability to work independently on customer sites
- A willingness to travel as required
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications would be advantageous
