We are recruiting for an organised and driven Estimator to join an expanding team based in Ferndown. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous estimating experience, ideally within the construction sector, who enjoys working collaboratively whilst managing their own workload and delivering accurate quotations within deadlines.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by preparing accurate cost estimates and working closely with clients, suppliers, design teams, and contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Preparing detailed project cost estimates
  • Updating and revising estimates as projects progress
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation within the CRM system
  • Collaborating with internal design teams and external sales teams on new and existing projects

About You

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an Estimator role
  • Construction industry experience (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams
  • Experience with estimating software would be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths
