We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer to join a busy Production Test team. This role focuses on complex production testing and detailed fault diagnosis of PCB assemblies, including investigation of returned units. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test PCBAs in accordance with work instructions and test procedures
- Fault find to component level on assemblies that fail test
- Ensure all work meets quality and compliance standards before passing to the next stage
- Accurately complete job history and route card documentation
- Proactively highlight any quality or delivery risks to management
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
- Sound knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001
- Ability to read and understand complex drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Understanding of ESD controls
- Awareness of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- PC and IT literate, including use of tablets
- Highly motivated with good time management
- Calm under pressure with a methodical approach to problem-solving
