We're working with a growing fire safety business looking to recruit an experienced Fire Door Installer / Fire Door Surveyor to join their team covering hospital sites across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.
This is a varied role combining fire door installation, inspections, surveys and remedial works.
You'll be responsible for ensuring fire doors are installed and maintained to the highest standard while meeting current fire safety regulations.
The company is committed to ongoing training, giving you the opportunity to further develop your skills and qualifications.
The Role
Install and maintain FD30 and FD60 fire doors.
Carry out fire door inspections and surveys.
Complete remedial works to existing fire doors.
Read and work from drawings, specifications and compliance documents.
Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation and building regulations.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Deliver high-quality workmanship, including finishing and sealing where required.
Work closely with the wider team to complete projects safely and on schedule.
What We're Looking For
At least 4 years' experience in carpentry or fire door installation and remedial works.
Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance requirements.
Valid CSCS Card.
Full UK driving licence.
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Experience carrying out fire door surveys. SMSTS or SSSTS qualification. Previous experience within the fire safety or construction sector.
