Are you an experienced Automatic Door Engineer looking for a role with a growing, well-established business that genuinely values its engineers? We're recruiting for a skilled engineer to cover Hampshire and Dorset, with a particular focus on candidates based around Southampton and Bournemouth. As the engineering team continues to grow, there is a strong commitment to keeping engineers working within their local areas wherever possible.

The Role

  • You'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of automatic and pedestrian door systems across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, retail, and public sector sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, maintain and repair automatic and pedestrian door systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment remains safe and compliant.
  • Complete all job documentation accurately using company systems.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service while representing the business professionally.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with automatic door systems (installation and/or maintenance).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

  • Electrical qualifications.
  • Experience with access control systems.
  • CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one).
