ITG is seeking an experienced Software Buyer to join our team. As a Senior Software Buyer, you will be responsible for managing our IT procurement activities, ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of needs tested IT software, services and hardware.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their IT requirements (utilisation needs, feature requirements, vendor landscape, etc) and develop procurement strategies that meet their needs while also considering budget constraints and vendor management.

This role requires excellent vendor relationship management, negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with often non-technical internal user groups to define and manage needs. Strong commercial and problem-solving abilities are also key to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify IT requirements
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors and negotiate contracts
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
  • Analyze and report on procurement activities and cost savings

  • Proven experience as a Software Buyer or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of IT procurement processes and best practices
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
