As Packaging Artworker you are responsible for the creation of day-to-day artwork following the briefing, production, sampling and approval processes. You are accountable for your own workload, managing jobs through to completion, working with the Packaging Design Manager you help manage the day-to-day artwork output. You create commercial designs for use across all packaging areas including constructional and graphical elements. You support all areas of packaging as required; including women's, men’s, kids & home. You work closely with the brand guidelines to deliver commercial design solutions that meet the brief requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure activities add financial benefit to the business while minimizing costs.
- Manage product availability efficiently.
- Complete tasks timely and maintain efficient processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of personal development and workload management.
- Collaborate with the Packaging Designer Manager to develop packaging concepts and artwork aligned with the brand.
- Innovate and deliver commercial packaging solutions across various categories.
- Ensure brand consistency and future innovation.
- Manage workload requirements and communicate progress effectively.
- Maintain packaging supplier manuals in collaboration with the sourcing team.
- Understand and meet design briefs, actively seeking improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay updated with relevant industry practices and technical requirements.
- Work with management systems to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Liaise with the sourcing team, B&M teams, and external suppliers as necessary.
- Deliver packaging concepts to final artwork, including mock-ups, accurately and within deadlines.
- Implement and contribute to the development of company brand guidelines.
Requirements

- Previous packaging design role with at least 3 years experience (retail / fashion preferable)
- Packaging Design/Graphic Design related degree or equivalent
- Have a portfolio which demonstrates:
- Well rounded packaging design experience across multiple areas (ideally in a fashion or homeware environment)
- Excellent knowledge of both constructional and graphical design
- Creative thinking
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end design to print processes
- Working knowledge of design briefs
- Brand guidelines experience
- High level of technical proficiency in Mac OS and Adobe CC software – with a focus on Illustrator
- Excellent understanding of colour theory
- Excellent working knowledge of packaging materials including papers/cards and fabrics
- Excellent understanding of typography
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills
- Collaborative; ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and company departments
