The Affiliate and Referral Manager for Retail is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing the company's affiliate and referral marketing programs specifically tailored for Team Internet’s retail brands. This role focuses on acquiring new customers, growing sales through partnerships with affiliate marketers and incentivizing existing customers to refer new shoppers. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail marketing, a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, and a proven track record of developing and driving revenue through affiliate and referral channels.

Key outcomes of the role- Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive affiliate and referral marketing strategy tailored to the retail industry, ensuring alignment with the company's overall sales and marketing objectives. Identify and develop relationships with key affiliate partners and referral sources within the retail space, including bloggers, influencers, coupon sites, and customer advocates. Set and monitor KPIs specific to affiliates, such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer acquisition costs and continuously optimise these. Meet monthly customer acquisition and revenue targets set out for the affiliate and referral channel.
- Partner Recruitment and Onboarding: Recruit high-potential affiliate partners who can drive traffic and sales to the retail platform. Establish and manage relationships with retail-focused affiliates, ensuring they are well-equipped to promote the company’s products. Onboard new referral partners, providing them with the tools, resources, and support needed to successfully refer new customers.
- Program Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the affiliate and referral programs, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver expected results. Monitor affiliate activities to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and retail standards. Analyze program performance metrics such as sales generated, click-through rates, and ROI, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
- Content and Promotional Support: Create and distribute retail-focused promotional content, banners, and product links to affiliates and referral partners. Collaborate with the retail marketing and product teams to ensure that promotional materials align with current campaigns, product launches, and seasonal trends.
- Incentive and Payout Management: Design and manage competitive commission structures for affiliates and attractive referral rewards for customers. Oversee the payout process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to affiliates and referral partners based on their performance.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work: Work closely with the e-commerce, merchandising, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience for referred customers. Coordinate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure that all affiliate and referral activities adhere to retail industry regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on retail industry trends, affiliate marketing best practices, and consumer shopping behaviours to keep the programs competitive and effective. Implement A/B testing to continuously refine and improve affiliate and referral marketing efforts.
- Reporting and Analytics: Prepare detailed reports on the performance of affiliate and referral programs, including metrics like sales uplift, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value. Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior management to enhance program effectiveness and drive retail sales growth.
