Job Title: Safety Valve Technician
Location: Wilton Works, NorthEast Workshops, Middlesbrough TS10 4RG
Job Type: Full-Time - 37.5 hours
Shift: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Safety Valve Technician to join our team based at Wilton Works in Middlesbrough. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing safety and isolation valves, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair a wide range of safety valves and associated pressure safety devices, ensuring all are set to the required tolerances.

Maintain and repair pilot-operated relief valves.

Maintain and repair a variety of isolation valves, including gate valves, parallel slide valves, and ball valves as required.

Conduct pressure testing of valves and associated equipment.

Perform safety checks on tools and equipment in line with all safety protocols.

Enter and maintain accurate valve data in the Valve Management Database.

Actively promote and uphold the company’s Core Values in all work-based activities.
Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, ONC in Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training is desirable but not essential.

Strong understanding of valve types and pressure safety systems.

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a safety-critical environment.

Excellent record-keeping and data entry skills.
