Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Control Valve Technician to join our team at Wilton Works in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, calibration, and testing of a wide range of control valves and actuators in line with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, overhaul, and repair a variety of control valves, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuator types.

Calibrate valve positioners and instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.

Perform diagnostics and fault-finding on valve control systems.

Conduct functional and pressure testing of control valves and related components.

Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental procedures, including safety checks on tools and equipment.

Accurately record all valve maintenance and testing data in the Valve Management Database.

Promote and demonstrate the company’s Core Values in all aspects of daily work.
Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering, ONC in Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience working with control valves and actuators in an industrial setting is essential.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training is desirable but not required.

Proficient in the use of calibration equipment and diagnostic tools.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong record-keeping and data management skills.
