Purpose of the Role

The Business Analyst supports data driven decision making by analysing financial, operational, and commercial information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. The role partners closely with operations teams and business leaders to understand requirements, translate them into clear insights, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. A core part of this role is forward looking analysis β€” modelling expected results and supporting the business in understanding future performance across international countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis & Insight
    • Gather, interpret, and analyse financial and operational data to produce actionable insight.
    • Build dashboards, reports, and models to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Identify trends, deviations, and drivers behind financial performance and operational outcomes to predict future results.
    • Prepare clear and concise commentary for senior stakeholders.
  • Business Partnering
    • Work closely with finance, operational teams, and senior leadership to understand business needs.
    • Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, reports, or improved processes.
    • Communicate complex data in a simple, engaging, and business friendly way.
  • Process Improvement & Systems
    • Support the implementation of new tools, reporting improvements, and system enhancements.
    • Document processes, requirements, and proposed changes using standard BA methodologies.
    • Contribute to automation initiatives (Power BI, ERP optimisation, workflow automation, etc.).
  • Project Support
    • Provide analytical support for system implementations, operational changes, and transformation initiatives.
    • Create project documentation such as business cases, requirements specifications, and testing scripts.
    • Support testing, validation, and stakeholder training for new systems or processes.
    • Monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, and actions.
  • Financial & Operational Support
    • Key support in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting through data preparation and modelling.
    • Lead weekly revenue forecast calls and monthly updates to the US organisation.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Essential
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
    • Excellent Excel capabilities (lookups, pivot tables, formulas) and experience with BI/reporting tools.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences.
    • High accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
    • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams.
  • Desirable
    • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other analytical tools.
    • Background in finance, operations, or a cross functional environment.
    • Knowledge of process mapping and BA methodologies (e.g., BPMN).
    • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
    • Degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
