The Requirements To Fill This Position Are As Below:

  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including safety checks of tools and equipment.
  • Create precision-engineered parts from blank metal or plastic/composite materials using techniques such as:
  • Preparing and using horizontal and vertical boring machines (desirable)
  • Preparing and using lathes for turning operations
  • Preparing and using milling machines
  • Preparing and using grinding machines
  • Ensuring products meet tolerances specified on technical drawings
  • Applying screw-cutting techniques
  • Interpreting drawings
  • Producing jobs within allocated timescales
  • Actively promote the Core Values within all work activities
  • Must have NVQ Level 3 in Machining, ONC Engineering, or equivalent
  • Highly experienced in the use of Horizontal/Vertical Borers and Centre Lathes
